Most people use drones for the purpose of taking photos. The drone itself doesnt take photos but it has a built-in camera mounted on it that is responsible for taking the images. The more advanced the camera is the more quality photos it should be able to take. However do remember that HD cameras can be very heavy so you will have to buy a heavier and more advanced drone if you intend to use it for the purpose of aerial photography or videography. Drones are aircraft and can easily be involved in accidents. All it takes is a wrong turn or a slight error of judgment to cause the drone to tumble to the ground. Most lightweight drones fall a lot and thus require replacement parts like rotor blades extra batteries propellers and gears to get back into the air. Thus availability of spare parts is another important consideration that you have to keep in mind when buying small drones.
Longevity and Insurance: Powerful drones do not come cheap so you need to get your racing drone insured before taking part in a contest. This is because in a racing event crash episodes damages and collisions are quite common. If your drone isnt repairable you are going to lose a good amount of money. Once you get your hands on a racing drone you first need to learn its controls. Basic controls are required for a normal just-for-fun flight but when you are taking part in a race with world-class drone pilots as your competitors you need to master some advanced level skills as well. Fine tuning your drone to keep it stable when taking off and flying in mid-air is also a very important step. How to change the altitude how to fly through the trees and how to avoid obstacles or even collide with small objects during flight and getting back on the track again are some of the things you need to learn.
Drone rentals is becoming a common practice nowadays for people wishing to cash in on the UAV business or just looking to have fun. However not everyone can afford to buy a sophisticated high-tech flying machine that comes with a horde of useful and attractive features. Such a drone is available for somewhere around $3000 or even more depending on the functionality it offers and the overall design. The best way to benefit from such a machine is to rent it from reputable firms that are now offering this facility to their customers located worldwide. There is usually a fee associated with hourly or daily usage of a drone and it is very much affordable. However since its a very delicate machine you have to take extra care of it while flying or using it. Moreover before you can rent out a drone for personal or commercial use you have to agree to a drone rental lease agreement. This is to ensure that if some parts are damaged or lost during drone flying or if repairing is required the Lessor does not face major losses. A deposit of up to $1500 is usually required as security which is refundable and returned to the Lessee once he or she returns the drone.
